COMMON INITIAL DOSING REGIMENS

  • 250–1,000 mcg intranasally, administered 1–2 times daily.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

  • Selank modulates the immune system and neurotransmitter activity, particularly by regulating serotonin levels. It enhances brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which supports cognitive function and neuronal health. Selank’s anti-anxiety effects are linked to its ability to stabilize enkephalins, endogenous peptides involved in stress response.

  • Neurological: Rare cases of drowsiness or overstimulation.

  • Immunological: No significant long-term side effects have been reported, but data is limited.

  • Rare: Hypersensitivity reactions or transient mood alterations.
